The eLearning Design and Implementation (eDI) program has been a perfect fit for my skills and background. It is allowing me to utilize and advance my technical skills while furthering my knowledge of instructional design. This is a combination of two things I truly enjoy: software and teaching.
I am looking forward to all this program has to offer but especially the multimedia elements of educational websites. The cognitive science behind learning is also very interesting to me. In all of my various careers, I have been teaching adults something. It is just now, through this program, that I am beginning to get a glimpse into how and why adults learn best.
I am about halfway through my journey through this program. So far, I sleep a little less, the laundry piles are definitely higher and there are no more gourmet meals at our house (we never had gourmet meals but now I can blame school). But I am having fun! Really….I am.
